Nubank, identified by the stock code ROXO34, received approval from Anatel to become a virtual mobile operator (MVNO). Therefore, it will use Claro’s existing infrastructure.

Furthermore, the launch of mobile phone services by Nubank is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024. According to XP Investimentos, this entry could significantly change the sector.

Despite the challenges, XP believes that current factors favor a new competitor like Nubank. This can change the dynamics of competition and service offerings.

Furthermore, Nubank has around 22% of the prepaid recharge market in Brazil. In doing so, it challenges the conventional logic of the financial market.

Even more, Nubank is recognized for keeping service costs low. This way, you can offer attractive proposals to consumers.

According to estimates, the bank could reach 11 million prepaid users in three years. This way, it would obtain a significant market share.

Equally important, the expectation is to reach 7.5 million postpaid users. With this, Nu would have a market share of around 7%.

However, XP projects a net present value (NPV) of US$655 million for the digital bank. This reinforces the potential for success in the telecommunications market.

Therefore, roxinho’s innovative business model, combined with its execution capacity, could transform the telecommunications scenario in Brazil.
